Enrolment information for new Higher Education (HE) students

I’ve not applied for anything yet

Don’t worry, it’s not too late! Take a look at all our Higher Education courses and apply online.

If you want to apply for more than one full-time course at more than one institution, you should apply via UCAS.

If you only want to apply to a full time Barnsley College University Centre course or a part-time course you should apply directly via our website. 

Our next Higher Education Open Day is on Monday 17 August 2026, 10.00am - 2.00pm in the Barnsley College University Centre.

I’ve applied but not had an interview

We are continuing with interviews during the summer. You will receive an email with further details. 

I’ve applied and got an offer how will I enrol?

We will send you an email invitation for your online enrolment session in August/early September.

How will I get my student loan?

Once you have confirmed your enrolment, we will notify the Student Loans Company and they will start the process to release your payments as applicable.

When will the term start?

Start dates vary for Higher Education students. Your tutor will provide all the details about your induction and timetable when you enrol. You can see the timetable for the whole year on the Term dates webpage.
